so after a big round, i'm back to healingice lol. with a noobass shit bg cos i have no idea how to change it haha fml...
anyway this time i went to korea and hk, places that i have already been to (not that i'm complaining okay)
it's always a happy thing to be able to visit the land of soshi hurhur
so this time i went with my 2 sisters and their husbands and sons and mama and yizhang.
and my sister was so grossly affectionate with her husband that i'm just like *barf face*
anyway back to the trip, we went from sg to transit at hk and finally korea. when we reached korea in the morning and took the airport express bus to myeongdong where our hotel is.
after checking in, we went to the gyeongbukgong palace to see the guard changing parade, then went for samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) after that. it's apparently the best in korea or smth cos there's quite a lot of people queuing for it. and after trying other places' samgyetang i dare say this one is the best. it's really sweet and you can't taste the ginseng smell in the soup. but for ginseng chicken the rice is stuffed inside the chicken along with the ginseng so it's quite cool i guess?
went back to hotel to rest after that and went for dinner and walk around myeongdong area which is near our hotel. had dakgalbi for dinner and it's really good hurhur

the next day we went to lotte world to play and i'm just so amazed at myself like wow my courage level on that day is like ^^^^^ up there and i'm so proud of myself lol. I took most of the scary rides in the amusement park and the best thing is i opened my eyes during all of them. *cries while clapping for myself*
their main attraction should be all the gyro rides but i tell you should just go for the gyro drop and gyro swing. Gyro drop is the sudden drop from a very high place but it's only one drop, there's no recoil so it's not that bad. the worst was really the gyro swing. it was the last ride my sister and i took and i chickened out a few times while queuing but my sister forced kept encouraging me to go for it. and i did. and i died. (my ghost is currently typing this) nah just jk but it was really damn bad like my specs and mask nearly flew off while i was on it lolzz
dk which day later we went to the namsan tower. went before the other time so nothing much.
another place we went to was insadong to shop (window shopping for me lol) traveling with such a big group is really tiring we spend a lot of time waiting for each other zzz...
then we went to jeju island and we had a van (cos we had 8 people) to drive us around. the driver was nicer than the previous one and spoke much better english *thumbs up*
went to the glass museum and it was really cool like everything was made up of glass in it. bears, drums, beansprouts, balloons, you name it, they have it.

had grilled black pork at a restaurant for lunch and it's sooooooo goooooooood everyone please go try!!
went to all the scenic places to see waterfall, rocks, caves blah blah... quite boring haha...
then we moved hotels to the east side of jeju so we can climb the sunrise peak to see the sunrise the next day. AND I'M SO ANNOYED COS DIDN'T REALLY GET TO SEE SUNRISE. AGAIN. the clouds were blocking the sun zzz. this is the second time and i still didn't get to see the sunrise arghhhh really no fate with the sun lol. but i'm really damn unfit lol climb until want to die
went to the green tea museum and innisfree glass house the next day.
after that we went back to seoul and went to ewha's women uni to look around. they have this building that has idk 10 floors or smth and it has shops, cinema in it. (basically it's like a shopping centre wtf) then i told my sis i probably won't be able to study here cos there are so many distractions everywhere

next stop was ski resort!! learned how to snowboard I LOVE IT. although i fall like 5000 times over the period of 2 days but it's really fun (and cool HAHA). and the ski resort is always the best hotel, we got a free upgrade to a room with 2 floors YAYERZ and because of that we could fit 8 people in comfortably :) and did i mention that this place sells the best pizza cos they do damnnnnn it's really damn good (or maybe i'm just too hungry that everything tastes good to me xD)

after two days we took the shuttle bus from the ski resort to jamsil and my sister and i went hunting for the hard rock cafe to buy souvenirs while the rest headed back to the hotel first. it wasn't that hard to find but the lotte mall is really damn amazing like it's so big (Vivo step your game up)
checking in again at the hotel (namsan guesthouse 2) in seoul, we got another room and i really liked it cos they have this really cool bunk bed where the bottom bunk is like a baby cot? but sadly i slept on the upper bunk lol

on our last night in seoul, we went with my sisters to eat budae jigae and it was not too bad? (sorry but kbbq still the best hands down for me) and after that got some souvenirs at the mart and we really show hand all our money lol bankrupt after that :/
transit at taiwan before reaching hk~ and can i just say how amazing the hotel (Royal Plaze Hotel) is!!!!!!! my sister said it's a five star hotel and they have gym and swimming pools and you have to tap your keycard to access the lift like wow. but the gym is really the best like they provide earphones and i was so tempted to steal keep it cos my ajays broke down wtf. and they have sauna and a steam room in the gym toilet really just amazing...
as usual, ladies market, shopping, blah blah. bought 2 minion nano blocks and fish eye while i was there~ also got a new sling bag from Fa Yuen Street. but some of the shop owners really damn asshole like they don't want to give discount to you and they are quite stuck up/arrogant. just walk off in this type of situation guys you will find an even cheaper alternative for the same thing down the road lol
went to see the buddha and prayed desperately for my results *cries* haha but the best thing there is still the vegetarian food (sorry food again hurhur) there was this omelette in sweet and sour sauce, popiah, veggies and soup. yumzzzz

next up, central (zhong wan) area. went there so that mama and yizhang could buy century eggs. after that we went to the very long escalator to find the really nice cafe that sells damn nice french toast xD chanced upon giordano ladies and my sister spent like 1-2 hours there shopping and all of us had to wait for her -.- luckily she bought stuff if not we would have killed her lol
and the last day in hk, we went for tim ho wan YEZZZZZ but the size of the char siew buns seemed to have gotten smaller :( but still good lah. and left the elders at the hotel lobby while we went to shop again cos it was raining and they weren't keen on walking. but ended up going for french toast with my sisters again lolzzz xD
rotted in the airport for a few hours before getting on the plane and arriving in sg at around 6am finally home sweet home :)
